Opening of the Real –Time A/V Installation by Fuse*
To be seen at NOI Techpark from 12-26.09

After three successful collaborations in 2017, 2018 and 2019 under the "Advanced Clubbing" banner, MUTEK returns to Transart this year with a program more specifically focused on digital art - live A/V performances and installation work. Founded in Montréal (Canada) in 2000, MUTEK Montréal is a festival dedicated to digital arts and electronic music. As the worldwide festival scene exploded over the years, MUTEK always made a point to foster live digital audiovisual experimentation, to the point that it’s now one of its main trademarks. As we emerge from a very troubled 6 months caused by the pandemic, and as we have the opportunity to participate in one of the first public events of the Fall, we thought it important to present a more introspective program, focused on our relationship to ecology, nature, the planet, climate change. 

“0,13%”, by Italian duo Grand River (composer) and Marco C (media artist), is an A/V performance that explores metaphorically the complexities of the relationship between man and nature in light of raising environmental questions.

“ERRATIC WEATHER”, by new media artist Maotik and sound composer Maarten Vos, is an immersive multimedia experience aiming to represent the radical transformation of atmospheric conditions.

The program will be completed by "Limit Brick" by Line Katcho & Guillaume Cliche, a performance streamed from Montreal where a special hybrid version (physical and virtual/online) of the MUTEK Festival will be unfolding from September 8 to 13 (montreal.mutek.org).

As part of the program of MUTEK DIGITAL, on September 12 the real –time A/V installation "MIMESIS" by the Italian studio fuse* will be opened in the main entrance of NOI TECHPARK.
